Clearwater Jazz Holiday is proud to announce the Second Annual Clearwater Jazz 'N Art Walk in downtown Clearwater, October 17th and 18th from 10AM – 5PM. Applications for artist submissions will be available soon. Please check back.
Each year more than 60,000 visitors come to Coachman Park in downtown Clearwater to enjoy 4 days & nights of FREE Jazz by some of today's greats.
An added dimension to this year's event, the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Foundation is producing an art show on the 500 block of Cleveland St. from Ft. Harrison to East. Fine art of different mediums will be on display and for sale to the general public.
The Clearwater Jazz 'N Art Walk will offer a $5000 total purse for the top 3 artists selected by a panel of judges. Also, one winning artist will be offered the opportunity to create the 31st Annual Clearwater Jazz Holiday poster for 2010. The Clearwater Jazz Holiday poster is featured throughout the marketing promotion as well as featuring the artist at select events throughout the year including the Jazz Holiday itself.

2008 Clearwater Jazz ‘N Art Walk Artists
- 1. Kerream Jones - Kerream Jones is a prolific artist whose work possesses a multifaceted and timeless quality. He travels the country exhibiting his pieces and also operates his own fine art and publishing business, Kamarja Art

- 2. Karen Marie - Karen Marie is an artist who was inspired as a child by her mother to paint. Her visions are transformed onto canvas with a creative mix of mediums and textures. "The art I create is only part of the story. It is my hope the casual observer can find their own dream, their own vision to connect with.

- 3. Leni Betes - One can see something different in her Floral Art. Freshness and a subtle but intense joy seem to emanate from her paintings. Her flowers are different: A whole seductive world of restrained passion.

- 4. Gary Manos of Steel Knight Designs - "I love being near the ocean & the mountains. There's such an immense variety of life there! I truly believe art is a very personal thing, whether it's the person creating it, or the person acquiring it. It's my goal to take what you see in your mind, and make it into a steel reality!"

- 5. Bodyscapes by Allan Teger - Bodyscapes are photographs of small toys on nude bodies, giving the illusion of a landscape. The photographs sell from $15 to $750. Images includesuch things as swimming in navels, skiers on breasts, and horse and riders on the back. Theycan also be seen onwww.bodyscapes.com.

- 6. Boxes by Boudreau - Don uses veneering, joinery and lamination techniques to bring together several exotic woods in each box. No dyes or stains are used, only the beauty of the wood is visible through the hand buffed oil and wax finish.

- 7. Sylvia Petra Heneghan Jewelry - Sylvia is a German born jewelry designer who brings a European touch that is metropolitan and avant-garde into the world of jewelry. She uses semi precious stones, freshwater pearls, coral, sterling silver and whatever else inspires her to create handmade, one of a kind pieces.

- 8. Robert Schoeller - Robert Schoeller's inborn talent and unique sensibility for aesthetic quality have enabled him to make a huge impact in the art world. His paintings not only have that special something he recognized in the fine artworks that inspired him as a child, they also have an extra special something that only Schoeller can provide--a power, beauty and timeless quality that are accessible to all .

- 9. Shia Simone - the art of Shia Simone is greatly influenced by jazz classics and has been exhibited widely in the Tampa and St. Petersburg, Florida areas.(First visit to Clearwater, FL). The artwork depicts abstract jazz themes with warm colors and textured pigments.

- 10. Beth Schwersky Wired Stained Glass - Get WIRED and feel the creative force behind this artwork. There is no resisting these unique and whimsical stained glass sculptures. Each piece is beautifully handcrafted and will undoubtedly become a cherished addition to any collection.

- 11. Thomas Lott Jewelers - My designs are both bold and modern. I make artistic elegant jewelry with the finest precious and semi-precious gemstones from all over the world. Each is exquisitely handcrafted of noble metals such as 14k and 18k gold, platinum and sterling silver.

- 12. Dora Iregui - "I paint for thejoy of painting and because of my fascination with the beauty and variety of nature, color and, although, it may sound unrelated, my love of music. I paint a wide variety of subjects. I love painting musical instruments because, for me, music and art are intermingled and this is the only way I can express this feeling."

- 13. John Brennan - John Brennan is a music major at USF. He is a very gifted artist and has received recognition on a local, state and national level for both music and art. His award winning paintings include several genres most notably, wildlife and contemporary. John's "Symphonic Colors " collection will be on display at the Jazz ‘N Art Walk this year in Clearwater.

- 14. Laura Monk - Laura Monk's mixed media abstract paintings and drawings engage the viewer with rich hues and bold linear forms. - 15. Jim Warren - Clearwater resident and international celebrity Jim Warren has had a long and illustrious career. Since painting the Grammy Award Winning Cover for Bob Seger's Against the Wind album and creating a string of instantly recognizable book and album covers for everyone from Clive Barker to Prince, Jim has produced more in popular culture than almost any other modern American Artist.

- 16. Michael Braun - These images are original abstracts created by hand in a computer program with over 400 virtual art media including oil, water color, pastel, etc.

- 17. David Roland Fine Art - Currently, David Roland is involved in creating a series of genre paintings in oil and pastel of Native Florida's people which focus on Florida's natural havens, its native genre, natural wildlife habitats, and the threatened wildlife that has yielded to urbanization and unforgiving, unreciprocating population growth. - 18. Lorraine Potocki - Lorraine started her own business, Florida Pastels, in February 2008. Her medium, pastels, allows her to capture the beauty of Florida's beaches, wildlife, and environment. She graduated from the College of New Jersey with a degree in Fine Arts and Educatio.

- 19. Hua-Yao Tung - Hua-Yao Tung is from Taiwan. He is a greaduate of the Fine Art Department of Taiwan Normal University. Drawing from his extensive background and his exposure to western culture, he has created a unique style; combining modern technique with oriental disciplines. He has painted and exhibited his work for 30 year.

- 20. Joyce McAdams - "I want my work to be like a good poem. It should be something a viewer can return to repeatedly, finding fresh ideas and meanings each time."

- 21. Calvin Walton - In my work I am attempting to convey to you a representation of animals and people. Making art is my passion, to create something of nothing and then expose the results of this challenge; this process for everyone to see is an honor.

- 22. Alex Scott - Artist Alex scott debuted on the art scene in late 2006, with his Film Noir and Gangster inspired paintings andis quickly gaining popularity with young Hollywood. Noted collectors include actors Danny Masterson andErika Christenson and SF Giants pitcher Barry Zito. He is a Los Angeles native currently living in Florida.

Regina Boger -The creation of original clay focal pieces and the use of an unusual assortment of semi-precious gemstones, freshwater pearls, crystals, and glass beads is the primary goal of my work. All of these elements combine towards the ultimate end of expressing the elegants that can come from the Earth.

#24. Diane Montrose - is your average seeker of truth. Arriving in Florida via the Northeast, Europe and the West Coast, Dianeʼs work very much reflects the influence of the Dadaists, combining found objects to tell a story. She displays her work at her gallery, Liberal Artz, in the Village of the Arts, Bradenton , Florida.

#25. Francoise David - Francoise David is a French fine art painter, with 5+ years of study at one the most rigorous and professional Parisian schools. Now established in Florida, she paints a colorful pictorial universe of sun and nature, with a unique richness of invention that crosses styles from figurative to abstract.
