When I paint Florida scenes, I want the viewer to fel the emotion , drama, and passion of my subject. Using a variety of both hard and soft pastels, contrasting colors, varying strokes different sized, different paper, I'm constantly experimenting to see how far I can take the power of pastels.

I cut & sculpt cypress into masks and island style shapes, then pain with acrylics.

I use cedar, oak & birch to sculpt Florida fish and wildlife. I use inks and furniture finish, some parts are left natural.

My designs are both bold and modern. I make artistic elegant jewelry with the finest precious and semi-precious gemstones from all over the world. Each are exquisitely handcrafted of noble metals such as 14k and 18k gold, platinum and sterling silver. Many of my pieces are one of a kind that could never be reproduced due to the rarity of the gems. I think that because of my love of rare and unusual gemstones, my designs are fresh and new. I never know what new design a gem will inspire me to make next.

63 yrs as a selling artist. A serious illness as a teenager required me to stay home out of school. So I started drawing and selling my work (cartoons) to magazines. Eventually, in the early 70's, I taught myself how to paint watercolors - which I do everyday I'm home, until 10pm every night...7 days a week.

I hand sculpt and shape each piece. I kiln fire and glaze the piece with up to 10 different glazes. Each piece is a one of a kind.
